Kol Dichfin Yesey.......

Arutzsheva: Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau told Galei Tzahal (Army) Radio that in the past, it was an accepted custom at the Passover seder to leave a empty chair to increase awareness of those many Jews behind the Iron Curtain who were not free to observe the holiday. Today that chair should be filled with someone who is in need, stated the former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi.Rabbi Lau elaborated that during the seder ceremony we open the door of our homes and declare, “Let all who are hungry come and eat,” stating this must be more than a symbolic gesture, but an awareness that there are many among us who are alone or lack the means to prepare a seder, and we many not forget them as we sit down with our families at the Passover seder.....
