Hesder Students get "Shampoo'd"

Arutzsheva: A group of veteran Golani Brigade soldiers left a northern border post on Monday after six of the 17 soldiers were disciplined for dumping shampoo on sleeping bags belonging to soldiers from the yeshiva hesder unit. The yeshiva hesder program combines army service with religious study.The group abandoned their posts and hid in an abandoned building in Kiryat Shmona, where they were found hours later, according to Army Radio.The group was protesting new regulations canceling traditional Golani Brigade privileges and banning certain songs traditionally sung by the unit. The new rules stipulated that veterans with only a few months of service left were still subject to the same guard and other duties as new soldiers.Brigade Commander Tamir Yadai said 11 of the 17 soldiers were on Passover vacation at the time and returned to their posts at the end of their leave......
